MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at meeting: Chuck Brazell, Rick Walker, Ben Hooks, Steve Lowe, Ron McKay, and Lynn Easley.

Present Minutes from last meeting
The minutes were presented by Lynn Easley.
Motion to accept by Ben Hooks, seconded by Rick Walker.
Financial Report
The financial report was presented by Chuck Brazell.
Receipts:
Receipts through March 31, 2019 were $2,225.00, which consists of current dues from twenty-two members.
Disbursements:
Disbursements through March 31, 2019 were $845.70 for operations are as follows.
1. $385.00 Storage Locker Rent.
2. $244.08 Social – January Membership Meeting.
3. $125.02 Slip Rental.
4. $70.00 Post Office Box Rental.
5. $21.60 Trophies – Engraving “Spring Cup”.
Surplus:
For operations, receipts exceeded disbursements resulting in an operation surplus of $1,379.30
General Comments:
The cash balance as of March 31, 2019 is $15,859.60. The cash balance one year ago was $15,616.84. We have twenty-two dues paying members thus far in 2019.
Motion to accept Treasury report by Steve Lowe, seconded by Lynn Easley.
Officer and Director Reports.
Chuck Brazell – Rich Munson plans on moving the boat on the third week April to Austin. Will need help getting the mast down. Discussed possibilities of who could fill the social director position for the rest of the year. It was also suggested to rotate the duties for the remainder of the year. The schedule has already been setup up, it would just entail sending out the emails and reservations at the location. Asked if a departing member would get any refund of dues.
Ben Hooks – Announced that Jeremy Bogan will be joining the club. Planning to use the slip being vacated by Rich Munson. Application and dues should be in the P.O. Box awaiting pickup.
Steve Lowe – Gave update on John Owens condition. Reminded the club of the other recent new member Justin Winkle.
Rick Walker – Rick Walker talked to Columbia Balloon Base meteorologist Ross Hays about giving a presentation on meteorology and how it relates to sailing. The club would just have to schedule a date. The presentation would be open to other local yacht club members so advance planning will be necessary. Possible dates would be late spring, or early fall.
Lynn Easley – New inquiry from the website, sent reply email. Chuck Brazell will also respond.
Old Business
Slip Waiting List:
Peter Pitonak will get the slip vacated by the yellow boat. New member Jeremy Bogan will get Rich Munson’s slip after he moves his boat.
New Business
Upcoming Social Events:
The next Wednesday Night Races are scheduled for April 17th and April 24th.
There will be no Third Friday Social this month due to the “Cheeseburger in Paradise” cookout on April 27th.
he first annual Spring Cup Race was re-scheduled for April 27h. The “Cheeseburger in Paradise” cookout on the dock is also scheduled for that evening.
